Fusatsu
The
Buddha taught that the Uposatha day is for "the cleansing
of the defiled mind," resulting in inner calm and joy.
On this day, we intensify our practice to deepen our knowledge
and express our communal commitment through millenia-old acts
of lay-monastic reciprocity.
All
dedication services start at 6 PM and will include Zazen,
Kinhin, Sutra chant, Great Vows, Dedication Vows, Dharma talk
and tea. There are a great number of bows in this ceremony
as we share our dedication to release our violations of the
Buddhist way and to commit to live a life of kindness and
compassion.
