May the Infinite Light of Wisdom and Compassion so shine within us that the
errors and vanities of self may be dispelled; so shall we understand the changing nature of
existence and awaken into spiritual peace.

Gyoujinn

Gyoujinn is a temple. Whomever wishes to come,
is welcome at anytime.

Come and learn the teachings of Buddha. Everyone has
troubles, but if you come, you will feel relieved. The most
important thing is to live through today and tomorrow.
There is no charge for room and board.

We can share each other's company until you wish to leave.
Let's get along well together and live in harmony.

Gyoujinn is a small, very rural temple in a farming
village north of Tokyo. It does not have a website,
but you can write or call Rev. Makabe and
make arrangements to visit his temple.

Zen Buddist Saying:

“Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draws it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.” — The Buddha
